Terms of Service

Parchaser helps golfers set up rounds, score each hole, track light shot context, save courses, review round summaries, create scorecard images, and share live leaderboards. You may use Parchaser only in compliance with applicable law and these terms.

No account is required for the core scorecard. You are responsible for the information you enter, the people whose names or scores you add, and the links or backup files you choose to share.

Parchaser is not an official handicap authority, tournament scoring system, rules official, GPS rangefinder, or emergency service. Course data, scorecard scans, and derived stats may be incomplete or incorrect. Review and correct scorecards, scores, tees, ratings, slopes, and handicaps before relying on them.

Use the app safely and without distracting yourself or others during play, while driving a cart, or in any situation where device use would be unsafe or against course rules.

You keep ownership of the names, course details, photos, round data, scores, notes, support messages, and other content you provide. When you use optional hosted features, you give Parchaser and its service providers permission to process that content only as needed to operate the feature, provide support, secure the service, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

Do not submit content you do not have permission to use. Do not include private or sensitive information in scorecard photos, player names, live round names, support emails, or shared links unless you are comfortable with how that feature works.

Scorecard scanning is an optional hosted processing feature. It may be unavailable, slow, or wrong. It does not replace your review, judgment, golf instruction, or official scoring rules.

You may not use hosted processing or API features to submit unlawful, harmful, abusive, or unrelated content. You may not attempt to bypass rate limits, reverse engineer hosted systems, or overload Parchaser's infrastructure.

Live Round and Live Event links are temporary but public to anyone with the code or URL. Shared snapshots can include host names, player names, course names, tee information, scores, shot context, timestamps, and leaderboard state. Share live links only with people who should see that information.

Parchaser does not guarantee that live updates will be uninterrupted, preserved, or available after expiration. The scorekeeper's device remains the source of truth for the round.

Parchaser is currently free to use. No trial, subscription, or purchase inside the app is required for the current scorekeeping, scorecard scanning, and live sharing experience.

If you install Parchaser through an app marketplace, that marketplace's terms also apply. For Apple App Store downloads, Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement may apply unless Parchaser provides a custom license for your region.

Parchaser, the website, app design, brand, logos, copy, code, and generated product materials are owned by Parchaser or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of Parchaser to you.

Do not misuse Parchaser, interfere with its hosted services, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or overload endpoints, impersonate others, submit malicious content, violate another person's privacy, or use Parchaser for unlawful activity. We may block requests, remove shared data, or suspend access to hosted features when needed to protect the service or users.

Parchaser is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Parchaser disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, and uninterrupted operation.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Parchaser will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost goodwill, inaccurate scores, unavailable live links, incorrect stats, or decisions you make based on app output.

We may update these terms as Parchaser changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Your continued use of Parchaser after an update means the updated terms apply.
