Privacy Policy

Parchaser is a simple golf scorecard. Most scoring data stays on your device. This policy explains the limited cases where data leaves your device so scorecard scanning, live sharing, and support can work.

Information Stored On Your Device

Parchaser stores the scorekeeping data you create in the app, including courses, tee information, scorecard images you choose to save, player names, handicaps, tracking preferences, rounds, hole scores, shot context, settings, followed live rounds or events, update/cache data, and exported backup files you create.

This local data is stored in browser or app storage on your device, such as IndexedDB, localStorage, Cache Storage, or the native app container. It stays there until you delete it in the app, clear the site or app data, remove the app, or replace it with an imported backup.

Optional Features That Send Data

Scorecard scanning sends the scorecard photo you select to Parchaser's hosted API and processing providers so printed course data can be extracted. The app stores the returned course data locally after you review and save it.

Live Round and Live Event sharing sends temporary snapshots that may include host and player names, course name, tee information, scores, shot context, leaderboard state, live codes, and update timestamps. Anyone with the link or code can view the shared live scorecard while it is active.

Camera, Photos, And QR Codes

The native app asks for camera access to scan scorecards and Live Round QR codes. It asks for photo library access only when you choose an image for scorecard scanning. QR code decoding is handled on your device. Scorecard photos are uploaded only when you choose to use scorecard scanning.

Parchaser is not a GPS rangefinder and does not require continuous location tracking to keep score.

Support And Technical Logs

If you email support, Parchaser receives your email address and whatever information you include in the message.

Parchaser's hosting, API, app marketplace, and storage providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, device or browser type, request URL, timestamps, error logs, and approximate region to operate, secure, debug, and deliver the app.

How Long Data Is Kept

Local scorecard data stays on your device until you remove it. Live Round snapshots are temporary: active Live Rounds expire after about 6 hours, active Live Events after about 8 hours, and finalized shared rounds or events after about 24 hours.

Parchaser does not intentionally store scorecard images on its servers after the request is completed, although service providers may retain request metadata or logs according to their own policies. Support messages may be kept as needed to respond, maintain records, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

Your Choices

You can use the core scorecard without an account, without live sharing or scorecard scanning. You can export your data from the app as a JSON backup, delete rounds and courses in the app, clear local storage, or remove the app to remove local app data from that device.

Children

Parchaser is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information through support or a shared feature, contact us so we can review it.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy as Parchaser changes. If a change is material, we will update this page and adjust the date above. Your continued use of Parchaser after an update means the updated policy applies.
